Opinion about i-Robot (Human Computer Interaction Assignment)

The development of technology is very fast. It never free from human’s role as the creator and the developer. Human as a brain ware makes the technology has function to makes human’s activity easier. Therefore, the human should has high responsibility and never deviate from ethics and moral’s value to develop the technology.

The film that I watched on January 30, 2013 entitled i-Robot talking about the point of view of sophisticated technology. Human created and developed robot to makes their daily activities easier, like doing household jobs, throwing rubbish, delivering package, etc. Moreover, this robot’s developer has a capability to makes his robot has feelings like human. His capability is adorable and amazing. However, because of he has less responsibility, selfish, and want to take many advantages for his self, those robots programmed to against human, doing crime, and destruct anything until inflict others.

From that film, I assumed that the development and utilization of technology have two directions, positive and negative, depends on people who uses and develops it. Skills without awareness of ethics and moral  will be dangerous. Therefore, we need the human who has high responsibility to develop the technology to avoid abuses and crimes in the future. We have to implant and learn about ethics and moral’s value in our life, so that we could be a human with high responsibility to others.
